I shouldn't should I?

It was 40.2 when she woke up and then high 39s after Nurofen at 8.10am .. gave her Calpol at 8.55 and her temp is now 38.9

Maybe I should just stop bloody well taking eh?

Sounds pretty high - I would get it checked with doctor. Hope she's better soon.

SackAche · 24/11/2005 09:39

Twig - I would say that its on its way down..... and as long as it doesn't creep back up again then she should be fine.

Give her Medised.

Bozza · 24/11/2005 09:41

Think Sackache is right. Suppose it also depends on her other symptoms though.

hunkermunker · 24/11/2005 09:44

Aw, Twig - I care! Just responded on your other thread.

Why is it high? What are her other symptoms? How is she? I think it's on its way down, but watch her in case it creeps back up again.

tissy · 24/11/2005 09:48

er, twig, lots of people care, or you wouln't have had responses on your other thread.

Her temperature is on the way down, and it is less than an hour since you gave the calpol.

Relax a bit, and don't take her temp again for another hour. They wouldn't do it more often that that if she was in hospital!

Twiglett · 24/11/2005 10:01

sorry guys .. I was being self-deprecating with the no-one cares line but it didn't come across well in type

didn't mean to come across all moany

have stopped taking her temp now .. she'll be fine

twig dd2 is poorly as well and I don't have a thermometer

she spent most of last night being sick and waking every 20 minutes

how bad do I feel - after 4 hours of this she came in to our bedroom I said 'come on dd2, off you go, back to bed' she went back on her own with no fuss. When I went in this morning her bed was covered in sick and she was sleeping under her bed [massive guilt emoticon]

Twiglett · 24/11/2005 10:14
