Nasal drops for 8 week old with horrible cold

..how many times a day can I give this to DS? He's 8 weeks old with a horrible cold . Is there anything else I can do to help relieve his suffering? I've already tilted his mattress slightly and have put a bowl of water under his cot.

try boiling a kettle on the floor in the room he sleeps in (not where anyone will kick it over obviously!) and only use one that switches itself off when it's boiled.

vaporisers are good too but not sure if you can use them with very young babies.

I was told you could use nasal drops before every feed - thats what the doc told me with Rebecca - she's 4 weeks old and got a stinking cold too!

Steaming works well - i tend to shut us both in the bathroom and stick the shower on full blast.

Vapourisers are for 3 months plus unfortunately - already checked out that!
