weird finger, can hear a slight click

my finger has felt a bit stiff (for a better word) for weeks now and today i noticed it clicking every so slightly and barely audible but there.

i thought i'd just pulled it or something but it seems to be getting worse.

did anyone have a similar thing? i suppose i will have to go to get an xray :(

Probably trigger finger or similar - due to an inflamed tendon. If it doesn't clear up of its own accord, they can do a little injection of steroid into the tendon sheath.
