Sore tongue and cracked lips

I was wondering if anyone could could advise me..

For about 2 months I have been suffering with a sore tongue and cracked lips in the corners. It comes and goes over time, I do have a cold at the moment and it has come on in full force.

I am vegetarian and was thinking it might be some deficiency in vitamins, does anyone else get this too?

This can be caused by iron-deficiency anaemia (or, less commonly, other vitamin deficiencies). You might want to get a blood test dose to see if you are anaemic.

Do you eat plenty dark green leafy veg?

done, obviously!

If ur tongue is red and smooth looking it would suggest a vitamin b12 deficiency
