Potty's dd is home!

We're back! We've escaped thanks to dd's feistiness and heavy duty painkillers. She couldn't stand it a moment longer and as soon as her crutches arrived we made a run for it - well a quick skim down the corridor in a wheelchair She's doing really well - very sore and a bit sleepy still but is managing to get to the loo and back.

The op was a bit longer than expected and they took their time in putting her to sleep. Heart-wise she pretty much behaved other than her sats being a bit low for a while after and also she's still a bit tachy but I think it's down to pain or painkillers (whichever way you at it).Back to clinic in ten days to reveal the scars - he's promised that they are neat. She wrote it on her leg just before we went to theatre ....'Keep it neat & PS thanks for keeping me waiting - I'm starving!'

Thanks for all the positive thoughts - they made all the difference.

Great news, Potty - I had been away and off Mn for a few days, so was looking for your news!

She sounds a right character!

Let us know how it goes when the dressings come off - is her leg in plaster?

Potty1 · 21/11/2005 19:15

No plaster Blu - hip to ankle padded bandages. These should come off a week tomorrow. She's off her pain meds too - nothing since this morning - so she's doing really well.

Gave me a bit of a fright last night though - woke up with chest pains, and me being me immediately thought she'd got a pulmonary embolism from not moving about enough Turned out to be a bit of trapped wind

Hope you've had a good weekend.
