Aren't babies teeth supposed to erupt in a certain order?

My first 4 cut their teeth exactly as it said on the tin.

ds4's are coming through in a real haphazrd order.

Just an observation and shows I really must get a life!

I think they generally do come in the same order, although lots of babies differ from the norm. DS looked like Count Dracula for about a month until his middle ones at the front came through. Interestingly, though, they are not falling out in the order they arrived. (Must get myself a life, too . Or failing that, off to bed )

My friend's daughter cut hers 'backwards'.

Nothing til she was about 18mo, then molars. Worked their way through the mouth in reverse order. Bottom two at front were last to arrive

Both DSs were little vampires like Frieda's

my childminder said dd2 was 'cross cutting' - one side came through before the other side

dd has two bottom and one eye tooth (if thats what they are called) looks very strange.

ds2 has two top and two bottom and two molars, they came out one on the bottom then one on the top and over again. after these four he cut a top back molar and now a bottom back molar. really odd.
