Feels like tonsilitus but isnt - so ill

My body feels like its overcome with tonsilitus - again. My hubby cant understand why I get so ill. I have suffered on and off with it but generally its viral and goes away however, so much horrible gunk from behind my palate, some soft tissue comes away and the area is sore (think possibly called the nasoplarynx?). I have had this on many occassions. My nose is also sore. My throat and tonsil look good though.

Could this be adanoids? so some viral infection that I pick up from the children and beds itself in this area?

I feel so ill yet I'm quite well and in general I'm pretty good. My body feels so exhausted today.

Anyone else suffer or know anything on this condition?

I'm sorry you feel so unwell but you really must go and see your doctor in the morning.

There are all sorts of horrible things going around just now but your doctor could take a swab or at least advise you a good method of pain control or antibiotics if needed.

Thanks for your kind words. I am under a ENT consultant for nasal problems but my next appointment is 2 months so the GP (as usual) wont be up to much. I'm surprised that a GP has never used a mirror to properly look into my mouth particularly right at the back. I'm interested if any adenoid inflamation would flare this up?

Feeling a bit better but my body was in so much pain yesterday, my head fluffy and the terrible throat taste and gunk.

This happens every few months or so.
