ds2 (6) has been up and down last night saying his throat won't stop itching.

I have a known his throat itch with Hayfever in the summer before so wondered if it was some allergy but i can't think what??

He hasn't got a temperature i don't think so i have sent him to school.

I always worry more with ds2 because he is under the hospital for a low immune system. His teacher says a few kids have had chickenpox, but
does it ever start with an itchy throat? He's had chickenpox once, possibly twice ( was never sure) already so hope it's not that!

what do you lot think?

I getteh itchy throat with hayfever too but I also get it if I am getting a cold.

Get some vit C and echinacea into him.

It always seems to make sense to me to keep children doing their normal things unless they are actually ill. Partly it's psychological for them (remember Monday-morning-flu? Renamed 'taking a sickie' once you were in paid employment, rather than trying to fool your mum.) but mostly it's because if you were to keep a child off every time something bothered them, they would miss out on so much and needlessly.

I don't think that chickenpox starts with an itchy throat, and it's highly unlikely that he'll get it again.
