Very puzzled, I could do with some advice.
Some background... DS is 5 and suffers from ezcema, which is treated with twice daily applications of Doublebase and topical cortisone cream for big flare-ups.
Since he was born, at this time of year, every year, without fail, both his hands and feet "peel off". He starts getting what look to be empty blisters over them and these take over, expand and over a period of a few weeks, he fully changes skin.
The first time it happened I thought he must have touched something corrosive or hot unbeknowst to me, but no, it just "happens". His hands started peeling again last week, one of his thumbs is pretty sore as it has cracked.
Has anyone else experienced this? What can be the cause? Apart from the cracked thumb, he normally experiences no discomfort and for the rest of the year the skin is OK.
Any pointers/ideas will be much appreciated!
