My SIL doesn't wash her newborns bottles.

Help or advice needed. My SIL doesn't wash her DD bottles (baby is 1 week old). She gives them a quick rinse and then puts them in the steriliser. The problem is the bottles and teats aren't clean and i am so worried about the baby getting sick. I have tried saying to wash them and was told to butt out. Any suggestions?

Not much you can do if she has told you to butt out. At least they're going through the steriliser.

does she have a dishwasher? You could suggest she does them in there. the temperature is hot enough to sterilise them too.

No dishwasher i'm afraid. Hopefully the health visitor might notice the lack of bottle brush!

I suppose you could have a sneaky word with the HV (or midwife) but you run the risk that they might be less than tactful about it and make it obvious where it has come from!
