Not sure the bite is right on this filling - any dentists there?

Just had it done today, back tooth, top left. When I put my teeth together, I think the filling sort of sticks out so the teeth don't properly meet. I'm a bit scared to chew on it because I think it might hurt.

Will it 'settle' or do I need to go back and get it filed down or something?

you need to go back and get it sorted out

Yep , go back and they will ease the bite for you .

I had one the other week that didn't feel right at first, but it did settle after a few days. Maybe that'll be the case for you too? Otherwise, as the others have said, if you go back they can adjust it for you.

I would give it a few days - teeth are sort of "tense" in their sockets after being bashed about by the dentist, and relax back in over a week or so - I've been back to the dentist for the same reason and he explained it, and he was right it settled down just fine.

Thanks everyone - I have another appointment anyway in a week to do another tooth, so if it's not better by then I will get him to sort it
