Post partum Umbilical Hernia - Know any good surgeons

I have had 2 pregnancies in 3 years that trashed my tummy muscles. Both physios have made it clear that we could only go so far and I am a surgical repair case.

I have a significant umbilical hernia and protuding stomach muscles that mean I can't get into normal clothes. Still presents as if I am 4 months pregnant that causes untold problems. And whilst I am a confident size 14 & always have been I am so tired of appearing permanently pregnant. Wearing maternity clothes on a night out from the kids usually leads to an explain the night away rather than dance the night away...

Does anyone, ideally in London (North or Central) recommend a good surgeon knowledgeable in repairing postpartum stomach hernias?

Sorry I can't answer your question, but couldn't you speak to your GP for a referral? I had a unbilical hernia and didn't know I had one! It was discovered by a surgeon when he was about to do remove my gall bladder, only there was nothing wrong with my gall bladder and it turned out I had a ruptured appendix. My gall bladder was left well alone and my hernia was repaired.
