Just wondered if anybody has had this. When I go to the toilet,(for no.2) I seem to bleed vaginally. Not painful or anything (although have had slight cramps lower left abdoman). Had dd 9 months ago and had stiches, could I not have healed properly.

Are you sure it is vaginally? Could it be a fissure i.e. small tear that bleeds when you strain etc?

pretty sure, goes on for about half hour.

I would have thought you would have healed - I also had stitches etc so I know how long it takes!

Do you bleed after sex? (If you don't mind me asking a personal question) - I must admit being a non-medical person it does sound strange and I would go and see my GP for advice etc.

It seems likely to be from your bottom, not vaginal. Are you absolutely sure it's vaginal? It may feel that way, but if you press a clean pad of loo roll paper against your anus does it show anything? I wonder whether you have piles?

maybe I am mistaken. its happened a few times now. I will have to check better next time. thanks.

I have found something similar sometimes after having an episiotomy after my DD 2.7 years ago.

It was a j type cut that cut quite a way into the perineum (and tore - ventouse delivery). The scar is quite pronounced and when i have strained alot or wiped alot (sorry for tmi) it can tear a bit again because of the shape and direction of hte scar. Found that it got slightly worse after having DS in April but has now gone back to as was before. You should go back to your gp to verify this though to be sure.
