Why can I only take POP's [cerazette] if I wear contacts? Seriously if he said it was because I get migraine fine but to use the idea that is is because I wear contacts is a bit strange.
On the other hand I am a bit in love with the GP as it is the first time a smear was only uncomfortable and not eye watering painful. And he found mt cervix without complaining it was missing, Also DP was Shock it was so intrusive and obv it looked worse the it was Hmm.
Anyway can anyone ans my original question plse Thks Grin

I don't think contact lens wearing is normally a contraindication to taking the combined contraceptive pill! Migraines definitely are, of course.

Maybe, if you are prone to dry eyes, the hormones in the combined pill could make this worse????? I seriously doubt any other changes provoked by the combined pill would be obvious enough to cause problems with contact lens wear - unless you found problems, eg, during pregnancy, with your contact lenses???

Wearing contacts isn't a contraindication for the combined pill.

if it's any help my eyes are more irritated when wearing c lenses since taking tamoxifen (which blocks oestrogen)

Tks you see I understand the migraine piece but not the contact lens part which is what he was more adamant [repeated it 3 times] about maybe the combined is more dehydrating?
MaryAnnAingleton that is interesting so he could be right, Hope you are doing well, My Aunt is 12 yrs free of Breast cancer and living life to the full, it does get better.
Anyway DC sorted for the afternoon so I am off to ensure DP caters to my every whim with TLC and takes me shopping Grin

thanks canyou- optician said that the eyes become drier with tamoxifen -so I guess any hormone based drugs will have similar effect. Am fine-2 years clear, despite a recall last week from mammogram -it is all ok though Smile Am happy to know your aunt is doing well Grin
