Is it normal for a week old baby to be hiccups. Bottle feeding. Any tips/idea's?.

Completely normal Breeze, my DD was a chronic hiccuper ! She would have at least 3 30 min bouts a day, she was breast-fed for the 1st 10 weeks and then bottle. To be honest I think it's just a sign of the body getting used to its new way of feeding etc. DD's hiccups didn't cause her any discomfort and she manged to sleep perfectly well with them, so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

P.S. There was noting I could do to stop them, we just had to ride it out ! She grew out of it at around 14 weeks.

Totally normal... they even have hiccups in the womb!

Dd had hiccups every day from me being 7m pg! I could see and feel them really clearly. She went on to be a very hiccupy baby but it did her no harm at all. She grew out of it too at about 2/3 months). She was bottle fed but not colicky or anything.

Yeah, I think so. Both of mine had them in utro & for the 1st few weeks outside. It cleared up by itself.

Absolutely normal - my dd hiccupped in the womb, hiccupped many many times daily once born and still at 14 months gets hiccups pretty regularly. I am also a chronic hiccuper - several times a week, so maybe it runs in the family. Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it. And most other babies seem to grow out of it within the first few months.

Yes - ds hiccuped inside and out of me! Some bottles claim to reduce wind etc.

These Dr Brown ones are supposed to be great, very expensive though at £10.99 a pair.

Yes, normal here too. DD hiccupped as a little baby and lots in the womb. Dh used to find it highly entertaining to watch my tummy bounce up and down with DD's hiccups!
