When and how often to wear my glasses

I have been wearing glasses for about 4 years. I've needed them for a lot longer but finally did it 4 years ago.
They are for distance.
I can see a book to read (although i sometimes struggle at the computer), but I cannot see much clearly apart from that.
Because everything is blurred, I wear my glasses all the time. From the minute I step out of bed til the minute I climb back in.
My question is, when I am at home, should I be trying to wear them less? Maybe wear them for watching tv etc but more day to day stuff I could leave them off?
Obviously put them on when I go outside, but at home, I could leave them off or would it be too much work for my eyes. There is a stigmatism in both of them.

If everything is blurred then wear them all the time. Why wouldn't you? I am v short sighted and need to know exactly where my glasses are or I can't see in the morning. I do wear contact lenses in the day but would never not use anything - I wouldnt be able to see Grin

Ok. I was just thinking that the longer i wear glasses, the worse my eyes will get so was thinking of trying to get by without them whilst at home.
But yes, it is difficult to see the dc's clearly if they are on the other side of the room, so think I will dismiss that thought a another one of my crazy, stupid ones and just wear them like normal Smile
