Odd fatty lump in the arm. What is it?

My boyfriend has a kind of a lump thing in his arm, just above the elbow - it's about the size a shape of some spat out chewing gum. It feels fatty and squishy. He went to the doctor a while back and got patted on the head and told not to worry. Any ideas? Should I hassle him to go back?

Sounds like a lipoma. If your BF's not happy then yes, go back to have it checked.

I had one of these on the top of my arm. I actually had the thing removed because the GP recommended making sure it was nothing sinister. Anyhow, it turned out to be a fatty lump. I remember my father used to get these on the back of his wrist and they would come and go...

Thanks for this - just looked up lipoma, sounds about right. I'll give him a nudge.
