Amoxcillin 500mg 3 a day for tooth infection

Hi, please can someone help. I have to take these for 5 days and I have read the side effects of really bad tummy and vomiting. I have IBS and I'm emetophobic and I'm terrified to take these tablets.

I know most people are prescribed 250mg instead of the 500mg, so I am very scared of the side effects as practically everything upsets my tummy. Can I speak to a dr and see if anything else would be better for me?

Can you take them with a pro biotic drink? Also plain bland food, [rice is easy to digest and thought to have healing properties for upset stomach] It may help prevent stomach upset,
Do if you are really worried ring the DR but tbh as it is in your mouth it is really important to treat the infection quickly. Hope you feel better soon

500 mg is now the recommended dose. Side effects are unusual. Amoxixillin is also usually the most effective antibiotic for dental infections. More unusual than with other antibiotics. I agree, take with bland food.
