I am panicking I could have an ectopic pregnancy

I'm not using my real name, because hopefully this will turn out to be nothing but a silly mistake, but I'm really panicking that I could have an ectopic pregnancy. I am on the pill, but am on my pill free days and I still haven't had a period, and it's six days since my last pill. This has never happened before. But all day I have had an excruciating pain to the right side of my abdomen, really low down. It's literally made me keel over several times today, and I've been unable to walk. I can't get to the chemist anytime soon to get a test. Would it show up anyway if it was ectopic? Sorry to be so paranoid, but I was quite ill last month, and scared that maybe my pill wasn't absorbed properly.

could it be appendicitis? that would be really awful pain on the right side. or kidney stones?

ooothepain · 07/11/2005 20:24

Not really sure, although it's good to know it could be something else. Are those things quite easy to diagnose? I'm just shocked by the level of pain

If it's that painful then you shouldn't be posting on here ! You should either be on the phone to NHS direct or at your local A&E dept.

But its ok when I sit down,. if that makes sense? It's a relief, to be honest. As soon as I get up it hits me

sounds more like appendix to me - its exactly how i felt earlier this year.

PLEASE get checked asap.

surfermum · 07/11/2005 20:31

I agree, phone someone medical now.

puff · 07/11/2005 20:31

You really ought to go to A&E to be checked out.

NomDePlume · 07/11/2005 20:31

If it is your appendix, you must get it seen to before it bursts and you get peritonitis

You can now get drugs to save losing the tubes if you take it it time - iirc? Hope you are not on MN and are being seen at present....

NomDePlume · 08/11/2005 09:43
