Did you have stones? If yes could be some gravel moving down the bile duct causing spasm. Spasm can also be due to inflammation of the bile duct following surgery. I assume you had endoscopic removal and there aren't scars around where your gallbladderr was. But you need a doc to check for signs of infection if you keep getting the pain or if your stool is abnormal. Good luck.

I continued to have pain after gall bladder surgery because I was not regulating acid in my stomach very well.

It may also be a trapped stone as joruth says. You need to get back to your consultant ASAP.

It would be a good idea to get checked out by a dr to put your mind at rest.

You can develop spasm of your bile ducts which has a similar pain to gall bladder pain. Or it could be a bit of gravel aggravating your bile duct. There are other more serious complications that can occur, so it is best to get checked out my a dr to get a diagnosis.

You may need a liver function test and an ultrasound scan to check.

Hope that you ok.
