Constant right sided lower abdo pain for 4 weeks - any guesses?

Pain is really low down, under/in my pelvis. Feels like a huge bruise, its sorer if I press over it. Slightly sorer when walking. But if I lie down and move my leg about that doesn't seem to make it worse. It certainly doesn't feel like a pulled muscle. Last night it felt like the bruise had spread round to my lower back, kidney area. But its definetly a lot worse at the front. I do get a lot of UTIs and had an ultrasound a couple of months ago which showed no problems, but that was before the pain.

I'm worried GP is just going to say my hip's knackered and I need to lsoe weight. BMI is 30.

sounds like it could be a grumbling appendix?

VivaLeBeaver · 28/04/2011 09:36

Right, have a GP appt for this morning. Really hope its not my appendix. Thanks

I had this for a week or two a while back, and the previous month. I hope you find out what it is... Mine just went away

Well I took a urine sample with me and it showed ++leucocytes so GP says I have a UTI and thats whats causing the pain. I kind of disagree to be honest, its not like any pain I've had with UTIs before, seems to be wrong area. Also another Dr told me recently that my ++ leucocytes aren't UTIs as they don't culture anything at the lab and its interstitial cystitis.

So he's prescribed antibiotics and sent a sample off to the lab. Will just have to see if the antibiotics work.
