I had an inguinal hernia while pregnant with dc3 (she's now 15 months old).

after she was born it seemed to disappear, but in the last month or so, while i can't see a lump there, it feels uncomfortable and i am fairly sure it's the same issue.

obviously i need to go back to Dr and get another scan to confirm, but i wondered if anyone has any advice to offer... it's not exactly painful, so I'm not sure if i NEED to get it fixed surgically, which would be massively inconvenient in terms of getting help with 3 kids for an extended period of time.... and info on internet seems very mixed, some saying hernias can fix themselves, others saying they must have surgery...

any experience/advice welcomed

My DD was born with one and it is really a good idea to get it sorted asap as they can cause problems. DD had hers sorted once she was 1yr old but we had to be careful not to let her cry until then as it could have strangulated. Simple op under general, not even a scar now. She didn't appear to be in any pain. Hope you are sorted soon.
