I had my annual eye test last week, which was all unchanged except for the peripheral vision test, which I did spectacularly badly with in my left eye (always the weaker one). The optician said my eyes were probably tired after all the other checks and to pop in next time it's convenient, to have it redone. TBH I had DCs with me and was a bit distracted, so wasn't worried at all and in no real rush to go back.
But DS1 has discovered tennis balls this weekend - has never been a ball sports boy, but has spent all weekend either bouncing one or wanting to play catch - which I was very good at as a child, my Dad and I spent hours chucking a ball back and forth. I've discovered today that I can't catch anymore!! I accept that I'm out of practise, but when the ball gets to within a yard or so of me, I seem to lose track of it, it's no longer where I expect it to be. What's going on?
