DS is 6.5months old. Period returned about 6 weeks ago (very unimpressed by this as still bf). First one was slightly heavier than I experienced before becoming pg, but I was on the pill for years and never really bled much. This one however is a different story! Heavy bleeding all day today - feel fine otherwise, no cramping etc. Just wondering if others have experienced this post-pregnancy or if its something I should get checked out?

I had similar after 1st. Previous periods were heavy-ish and with bits of cramp. Afterwards completely painfree but very heavy. This carried on until I got pregnant with No 2. Afterwards they were heavy for 1-2 days but absolute agony and in a totally different type of way before I had kids.
Pregnancy does strange things to our bodies.
Its probably normal. See what happens with next period and if still odd get checked out.

I didn't notice a difference with my periods after DD. However DS is nearly 5 months and I have just finished my fourth period. They have all been incredibly heavy although not painful at all.
