Having a laparoscopy in next few weeks and scared they'll find cancer

I have lots of symptoms that aren't good - abdominal bloating, constant right sided pain around the area of my ovary, pain on intercourse, very heavy periods. My aunt died of ovarian cancer.

Thankfully no bleeding inbetween periods.

So having the lap and a hystoscopy and thermal ablation in a few weeks and just scared what they'll find.

My GP said my uterus palpates at about 5months gestation and he suspected a fibroid but couldn't feel one internally. I've had an ultrasound which didn't show anything abnormal which is good - but could cancer be missed?

I was in exactly your position. I had endometrial abolation and biopsy. I did have fibroids the consulatant said they were within the endometrial layer so did not show on the scan.

Everything is fine now.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks annapolly. Did they manage to remove the fibroids with the ablation.
