Eek, poor you. I ruptured my archillies tendon before xmas and went into a non weight bearing cast for six weeks, then a walking cast for two weeks and now have finally been able to start work again (16 weeks later). I can still feel a little bit of pain at times and it swells somewhat if I'm on it too long. I'm a doing physio which is great, am waiting until I can stand on tippy toe on injured foot before discharged.

Listen to the Doc and rest as much as possible. My physio keeps telling me of the people that do too much to soon and get injured again.
