ANOTHER 'What's up with my backside?' question (sorry)

Noticed a small, fleshy-feeling type tag (not quite a lump, but not small enough to feel like a typical skin tag IYSWIM) today

It's about a couple of cms from my anus. Doesn't hurt

Got DP to look (great - nothing is sacred anymoreGrin)) as I couldn't see it obviously

He said it looked like a blister? It's white

Does this sound like an external haemorrhoid or something else? It doesn't feel like piles (had them after DS which was only 8m ago btw) Could it be some sort of childbirth mini-trauma? He was a biggun at 10lb 2oz

I will go to the GP but just wondered if any bum experts on here could shed any light Grin

Not sure myself but did not want post to go unanswered. Personally I would give it a couple of weeks to see if it goes naturally. Does not sound like piles or baby trauma.

You must be concerned about it to be considering a trip to your GP. Its probably something that will heal by itself.

Go to GP and hopefully/ probably it will be nothing to worry about. BUT you will probably worry until you get it checked. Make appt and get it done before all bank hols. Good luck.

did you have stitches after DS? could be the way they stitched you up

anotherembarassingbumquery · 18/04/2011 20:33

Thanks for responses Smile

i don't think it's baby trauma, either tbh. No stitches post birth, no tears Shock

I'm not massively worried but clearly it's something that shouldn't be there?!

No chance of seeing GP during Easter hols... am NOT dragging my older 2 (who are too young to be left at home) down to the Docs with me. Can you imagine a butt examination with a 7 and 5yr old?!

DP also reckons I should just leave it to see if it goes away

I swerve ever so slightly toward hypochondria so am not entirely comfortable with this option Blush
