You'll get varying advice here but all I can say is....wait and see.

I've three dc and spent loads of money on all sorts of freezing sprays, ointments, medicated plasters, etc. Nothing worked. Decided to leave the unsightly blighters untreated and one day.... they all disappeared!

HerbWoman · 12/04/2011 11:55

They do seem to disappear on their own eventually or, in my DS's case, he picked it off and flicked it into DD's bedroom!

Loonytoonie · 12/04/2011 12:21

A friend of mine swears by dabbing clear nail varnish onto them...

I put UMF 18 Manuka honey on my son's verrucca. I applied just a dab then put a sock on it- did this for three nights. It went black and fell off 2 weeks later....I was amazed as it was a nasty one ;)

banana skin and/or duct tape - tips I picked up here Grin
sorted mine out after many years - too Blush to admit how many

Apple cider vinegar, soaked into small piece of cotton wool. Place over verucca, cover with duct tape, then a plaster to hold in place. Do this daily. Only thing I've found that works, and I tried most things!

If it's not causing him any bother I'd just leave it and wait for it to go away on it's own, which they generally do. I had a persistent verruca as a child and my mother tried lots of different treatments none of which worked. It finally fell out when I went on a beach holiday and walked in the sand loads. When ds got one I was told not to worry about it and a few months later when I checked it was gone.

Avoca wart treatment worked on DS2 and he had a cluster of about 12 on one foot

EustaciaVye · 13/04/2011 16:39

Duct tape. Google for process. Worked on me.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 14/04/2011 14:14

Another duct tape vote from me. Had one on my foot for years and tried every lotion and potion to no avail. Soooo satisfying eventually pulling the little core out with the duct tape!

ivykaty44 · 14/04/2011 23:01

compundW I was told by gp is the latest treatment he dishes out after freezing them.

Eventually you get resistant to them and they fall out/vanish etc anyway - but it can take a few years
