she said there were some good studies showing it as good as ibuprofen and much easier on the stomach. I think i'll have a try.

Well, I am bowled over as my v painful shoulder seemed to have improved with literally a few drops of rosehip tincture and taken only very occasionally when I remember. What I do when I remember is put a few drops into my water bottle that I take around with me.
Apparently it's a strong antiinflammatory and I haven't had any side effects either, so would say try it.

very interesting. thaanks

OhYouBadBadKitten · 08/04/2011 20:41

oh excellent, I'll look out for this. Been retrying fish oils on top of my usual meds and they really really make my tummy ick.

nightcat which strength do you use? the really strong ones? 7500?

nightcat · 08/04/2011 20:52

Mine is this one tho I only bought one bottle and a while back -and it wasn't THAT expensive (I think the offer includes 3 bottles of diff extracts?)

Mine must have been around £10-£15 I think.

Another thing to try is starflower oil it's full of omega 3's.Also try eating fruit on an empty stomach it really helps with aches and pains as does cutting down on acid forming foods (tea.coffee oranges etc.)

Have bought some litozin (went a bit faint at the cost!) will report back any benefits I perceive.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 10/04/2011 20:41

ok. litozin seems to irritate my stomach. back to the drawing board.

Two years ago a German study showed beneficial results for a significant number of patients (I think it was around the 1 in 2 mark) but you have to take Rose Hip for about 3 months before you will notice a benefit.

Kitten, on my bottle says to take 15 drops, but I tried it once and didn't feel comfortable, so I now put 4-5 drops into my water bottle and drink it during the day and away from food and this no more than 3 times p/week. I didn't even expect to see the result on my shoulder, but it has been quite amazing.
Try a very small amount.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 10/04/2011 22:00

ok, I'll try that nightcat :) I'll give it a couple of days to settle first though.
