Is it ok to take antibiotics after taking the canastin thrush tablet?

I'm on antibiotics for an abcess but developed thrush yesterday, i have taken the canastin(sp) oral tablet but chucked the packaging away and forgot to check if its ok to still take antibiotics. Does any one know if its ok?

Cannot see how they could negatively interact but best to phone your local pharmacy. If it was me, I'd just take the ab because it's a really bad idea not to complete the course, but as I'm not the one taking the "risk", I think you should ask a professional.

Thanks lazy, i think i will have to take them (or my mouth may explode as abcess is huge). Will check though just incase.

Doubt there's a problem. Your thrush will probably come back though from the ABs.

no problem the advice is usually to take the tablet 3 days before the end of the course of antibiotics,if more than that you may find the thrush comes back.

Thanks, should be ok, its only a 3 day course of antibiotics (only one day to go).
