Hi,

I've been to the opticians today as for a while I have noticed that what I am looking at never seems to come together properly and everything has a sort of shadow image around the edge. Also when I look in the mirror at my face I can't see a whole image. I have to sort of look at a bit at a time. It's really hard to explain really.

The optician did a test with a cross on the screen and as it didn't match vertically he said my eyes were misaligned vertically. He said I needed prisms in my glasses to help correct it, but it would never be 100%.

They were really busy and I was my usual dazed self so now I am home I have been sat thinking of an ever increasing list of questions. I've tred google, but all the links seem to relate to children. Is there anyone who can answer the following?

I am being tested for epilepsy, could this be related?

Is this something that could also affect my children?

Will it/does it normally get worse?

Can I do anything about it?

Why's it started now?

If anyone can help or point me in the right direction it would be really appreciated.
