Unusual hair swirls, any comments?

I wasn't really sure where to post this but here goes. I've noticed that my son has a double hair swirl at the crown of his head. Does anyone know of any significance of this at all, especially to do with health or temperament?

It sounds like a double crown - it's just the way his hair grows. There's no significance to it at all regarding health or temperament.

I know what you mean Vivs - I am sure that there is supposed to be some superstition attached to hair sworls. A malaysian friend told me that it predicted the sex of your next baby - maybe this means twins....!!

Have you googled it? Let us know if you find a good site!

I have also heard the predicting the next baby's sex thing, (clockwise for a boy!). My older brother has the same pattern and no twin followed, but he's moody and a little bit odd so was hoping that there was no connection actually. I think the hair swirl is involved in chi energy channels in various alternative therapies so wondered if it affected one's karma. No luck from google yet, I have tried!

Watching with interest as I have a double crown and so has dd ! Its a nightmare to do things with -always seem to have bits sticking up

dinny · 30/10/2005 19:52

Hornbag, how old is dd? my dd's was v out of control until fairly recently when it had a growth spurt!

Shes nearly 6yrs but has got the sort of hair that always looks like shes just got out of bed !
I can even blowdry it nicely ( shoulder length bob) but within seconds its sticking up or out at the back. Like mother, like daughter....
