DS has sore throat, rash and very red cheeks?

Hi, ds has been complaining of a sore throat since yesterday and have an appointment at GP later today. Have just noticed that he has come out in a rash on his arms, back and torso and his cheeks are very red. Just took his temp and its normal. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what this might be?

Scarlett fever? Dunno, whens the appointment?

Verdict is ds has a throat infection and the virus is causing the rash/red cheeks.

I have suffered with tonsillitis all my life. Last week I had the usual sore throat the following day a few red blotches appeared on my torso by lunch time I was covered I have never had a rash in my life I panicked and went to A & E funny though the rash wasn't on my face. GP said it was the virus causing it or it could be scarlett fever. He prescribed antibiotics & antihistimines. The rash disappeared the same way it started from my torso down. I since heard from a few mums at the school have had the same thing quite worrying.
