I had similar and dr said it was tension headaches. They prescribed me with something called co - dydramol (I think!)

Also try just normal paracetamol as opposed to Nurefen or whatever.

I swear by that 4head stuff - also the strips you can get to put on your forhead.

Reiki works beautifully on many headaches. Do you know anyone who can do this? It's so relaxing.. There is probably an alternative therapist somewhere locally who could give you Reiki sessions.

was at the docs today (great way to start b-day) he says he cant see anything but wants to take blood for diabetes, thiroid and anemia. feel a bit worried they have thought ive had diabetes before and have been testing me for it since i was tiny. they say i was borderline and that its more than likely ill be a diabetic at some point. really hope its another false alarm

Do you have any other symptoms that you think are unusual? You poor thing I was plagued with headaches throughout my twenties and although I still get them they are less often.Could it be your blood pressure?

starandsnowshaker · 23/11/2005 11:36

starandsnowshaker. I really feel for you; I'm the headache queen! I have suffered from headaches for over 20 odd years, often on a daily basis.

Haven't read all the thread but here's my list of questions/suggestions:-

Do you eat enough? little & often can help

Do you drink enough ? it takes several days for increased fluid intake to have any effect

Eye-twitching + headache is definately stress related; what's going on in your life that's stressful?

Have you tried simple stretching excercises or even yoga? (you can do all this at home) Neck rolls, shoulder shrugs

Obviously your gp must address any underlying medical issues. Are you on the pill btw? Have yu seen a dentist lately?

I could go on for ever but just want to offer sympathy. I have literally banged my head on a wall hoping to get rid of the pain (and cried for hours on end

Thinking of you
