Another grey area which the public should be made aware of, woman who are injected with urine-derived fertility products may ba at risk of developing prion disease according to a just released study by an international research team in Canada.

Thanks but being aware of the extrmely small risk of such things in order to safeguard your health doesn't mean you wont get hit by a truck on your way to work.

This actually happened to my friend earlier this week. We think she's gonig to live now but she's in very bad shape.

FFS stop these constnat scaremongering posts about extremely small risks of vCJD. We could all live our lives terrified of these things and get hit by a bloody truck anyway.

A1980, I am sorry to read that your friend had an terrible accident this week I hope she is going to be ok.
My intention to put stories that I read onto mumsnet regarding mad cows disease is not to scaremonger anyone, it is merely to inform. I dont see that there is a problem with that as you have a choice to read them or not.
