Late period, cramps, horrid nausea but negative test?

I'm aware that this may be a silly question, but can anyone help? My period is 5 days late but 3 tests ave shown up a negative result. Today I woke up with a very spinny feeling head and promptly threw up, and the nausea has lasted all day> I've also had bad period type cramps since monday and been convinced I am just about to get my period. I feel really rotten (am curretly lying in bed with my head very very still ) and I don't know what to put this down to. Is it likely I have a horrible sickness type bug? My period is never late which is what's worryign me, that and the pain.

I think if you were pg and had enough of the hormone to make you feel sick then it would show up on a test.

I reckon it's a bug, and all manner of things can cause late periods. Hope you feel better soon

be careful - ectopic pregnancies can result in a false negative. See a doctor as this would be a medical emergency. Are you usually regular? Have you had sex without contraception? If yes to both then you really must take this seriously.

Oh goodness really? I was hoping not to have to see my doctor, it seems like a waste of time but I didn't know that about ectopic pregnancy. WOuld it really not show up on a test? I've had a quick google (I know) and it says bleeding is a sign too- I've not had a bleed. I do feel stupidly bloated though. I have 2 dc already and my tummy looked enormous today :(
