Is there any point seeing the Doctor?

My 8 year old DD has always been very healthy until the past few months. Since the summer she has been ill every couple of weeks for 4 or 5 days at a time with the same sort of thing, headache, temperature (though not very high fever), limb aches, off food. I think the trigger was a reaction to some penicillin she was given for a toe infection although I'm not sure. I am giving her multi vitamins, a high dose of vitamin C and a probiotic supplement and, when she's well, she eats quite healthily. I am not sure if I should take her to the GP or not - they always say viruses have to run their course - my concern is how many she's getting> Is there any point, or do we just have to hope she'll grow out of this phase of going down with everything soon? Alternatively, does anyone have any other brilliant ideas?

I would take her to the docs. Its not as though your turning up at first sign of a sniffle. If it was going to run its course then surely it should be out of her system by now?
