Anyones child had their nose cauterized?

Did it bleed and / or hurt afterwards?
ds1 has been told not to blow his nose for 7 days but he has had a bit of a cold

yes, he had a local anesthetic. did you not? ouch! did it stop you having nosebleeds?

I can't see how he is not going to blow his nose for 7 days and avoid rubbing it or knocking it.

It's already been bleeding since we got home.

I had this done twice (with silver nitrate - not the hot wire - not sure how they do it now though?).

Was tingly, but not sore. And didn't help my nosebleeds

But it can do, so I hope it does for your DS - I used to get 10 a day and choke on blood even with my head tipped right forward though, so am not necessarily the best person to ask!
