Are there any joint round there?

I have just been diagnosed with Reactive arthritis & wondered if this was a new joint getting swollen & then I thought hang on it isn't really a joint is it?

Depends by what you mean by 'blade' but yes of course your shoulder is a joint. But often pain felt in the shoulder is referred pain from the pelvis anyway.

WHen I had referred pain it was top left

This is sort of down the middle/bottom right

Mind you I'm just getting over a bad tummy bug

Dear god if I was a dog I'd shoot me

Stop eating, take paracetamol and rest for 12 hours. Bet it'll vanish. :)

Yeah, you need taking to the knackers yard! Grin

Co-codamol can cause stomach pain which can be referred.

But for good measure, I'd go pop yourself in a sack and drown yourself in a nearby stream (joking).

GP Monday?

mAYBE - POOR BLOKE IS FED UP OF THE SIGHT OF ME (sorry about the caps)

It took about 4 appointments to persuade him to let me see a consultant

This is where mine shows to be reactive as RA is symmetrical

Mine is right side only & lower; I am having problems with my ribs but lower on right side, sort of curving round to the front

Have you got a support nurse at the rheumatology department? You shouldn't just be enduring pain, call them up and go and get a shot in it. The sort of inflammatory arthritis pain isn't like other pains, resting doesn't help once it has got going, like a sprained ankle or something - you should get it dealt with as soon as possible. Good luck.
