Thyroid - TSH levels 3.3. Is this OK?

Doctor says this is fine as it is below 4.

However other sources seem to say that over 3 is a concern and when TTC should be under 2?

Anyone?

Are you already on thyroxine? It does seem to make a difference as doctors seem happier to tweak thyroxine amounts of people who already take it rather than start new patients on it. (A more cynical person than me might say it is because of free prescriptions, although it might just be that doctors seem to prefer the status quo.)

I like to keep my TSH well below 1 and my consultant said it must be under 1.5 during pregnancy. Conventional wisdom does seem to be that it should be under 2 when ttc. I think there are NHS guidelines on it if you look around on the internet.
