Dull pain on left side - 11 weeks pregnant

Am feeling a bit worried. Trying not to. Sad

Am currently 11 weeks pregnant. Not bleeding. Not in severe pain, but have had a dull 'stitch'-type of pain in my left side (from the bottom of my rib cage all the way down into my groin) all day today. It has come and gone a bit, but has pretty much been there all day. No other symptoms of anything. Is it just big stretching (this is my 3rd pregnancy) or could this be a worrying sign of something untoward...?

TIA

MPD

There's only one way to find out. Get yourself to EPU tomorrow, if you don't feel right.

I'm not going to scare monger. No point, you are worried as it is and none of us are doctors on here, so only advice is to seek advice.

I'm sure everything will be fine. Do come back and let us know though. Smile

Will do. If things are the same or worse tomorrow I will call and speak to the midwife or failing that my GP and see what happens from there. Am worried, but encouraged by the continuing lack of any bleeding or additional symptoms. Friends have just had a silent miscarriage though so at the back of my mind is that nothing is ever certain... Sad

Thanks for your reply. MPD

How you doing MissPolly?

Hoping you're OK.... Smile

Thank you Maureen for your concern Smile The pain/tension in my left side has subsided over the past 24-36 hours and so I am also feeling less anxious. I suspect it was some sort of stretching/ligament pain as no other symptoms at all developed. I have my 12 week scan on Tuesday so hopefully this will completely reassure me that all is well. Thanks again. MPD

Jolly good. I do like to follow up on threads sometimes. I'd hate to think of someone suffering on their own. Good luck on Tuesday.
