Have you had a complementary therapy, eg. acupuncture, and did it work for you?

Also: Reiki, indian head massage, homeopathy, crystal healing, spiritual healing, reflexology, or body massage.

Did it help? Did it do exactly what the therapist or practitioner said it would? Or did it do nothing at all? If so, do you feel that this was because the therapist wasn't up to scratch or because the therapy itself wasn't effective?

I am looking to try something, not sure what... I used to self treat with Reiki and I'm also a masseur, but since I have had depression I can't self treat (and wouldn't be able to massage my own back anyway!)

Would love to hear what other people have tried...

Are you looking to treat depression

Acupuncture helped me to give up smoking, but I did go back onto them. I then had an accupressure stitch inserted into my ear and that helped me quit for good.

I've also had chiropractic treatment on my back and that helped, but not as much as going to the gym.

I've had Reiki done for my bad back and that did absolutely nothing and I just felt silly paying money for a lie down for half an hour Hmm

I use herbal treatments and they're very good, but not if you have something serious which requires conventional treatment.

I had acupuncture for sciatica and it helped enormously.

My depression is fairly well controlled most of the time, so not neccessarily looking for results there... just general healing and 'feel better' kind of thing I suppose.

Have you thought about reflexology ? It is perfect for well being as it helps with any imbalances in the body.

I used to work in a salon doing aromatherapy massage and reflexolgy treatments.
