DD has been diagnosed with this. It's realy itchy and is coming up in huge welts when she itches, but it's also spreading and is in huge patches, not just the small dots it started as.

She obviously feels awful, she's not eating much. She gets very tired and tearful and screams and says she can't walk - her knees were hurting and now it's her ankles. This seems to stop if I give her antihistimines and paracetamol to keep her temperature down.

She was diagnosed by a Nurse Practitioner on Tuesday and I phoned my GP today for advice (it's also spread to her face, and things I've read say that it's unlikely to affect the face).

Does anyone have any experience of PR? And was it anything like this? I'm planning to going back to GP with her tomorrow - he said as long as she's 'OK in herself' they wouldn't worry - but she's clearly not now.

Only as an adult, it was itchy but manageable. Did she have a "herald" patch?

Yes - she had a herald patch but everything seemed to arrive at the same time - not 2 weeks before as much literature suggests.

Interstingly, the rash that was on her tummy has completely gone now - you'd never know it'd been there.
