she had it 9 weeks ago, when she was 6 weeks old. she didn't have a reaction straight away, but a couple of weeks ago it started swelling up. now it's about 1.5 cm across, bright red & has a pussy centre - it looks like a big yucky spot. ewwwww. i don't remember ds' looking like this at any point.

she's not in any pain, & is definitely thriving so i'm not that worried, just mildly concerned. dp thinks it might be infected, so i'll probably take her to the gp tomorrow, but just thought i'd canvass mn opinion in the meantime.

No, the newer jab does that, DS2's was huge and took about six weeks to burst, truly revolting. Our health visitor was quite proud of it, said it meant it had taken well!!!

thanks doddle. maybe it's a specific hackney reaction .

anyone else?

My DS2's one did this. Actually, I think it only really calmed down around 8 months. And a friend's DD's one came up huge huge huge. All normal.

so i'm getting the impression i shouldn't succumb to the temptation to squeeze it.....

Quite. Just leave it be. It will sort itself out. I think DS2's one popped itself a few times.

(I understand the temptation.)
