Still going to the gym....

I am 30 weeks pregnant now and still going to the gym, with my personal trainer, 5 times a week. Is anyone else doing this??

I went about 4 times p/w until week 39 which included one PT session per week. Sure it helped with my quick and easy birth!

Apparently it does help enormously. In all of the readings I have done, it talks about the muscles involved in giving birth, and clearly you need a lot of strength and stamina to endure the process; so it made sense to me to continue at the gym.

I am not pregnant, but trained 5 days a week up until my due date.

can't promise a quick and easy birth....err mine wasn't - and Paula Radcliffe had a nightmare labour - but I think it helped with the recovery and I had a flat tummy back pretty quickly.
