white spots on DDs tongue - what is it?

DD has complained of a sore mouth today and this evening she said she had a spotty tongue.
I looked at she has a cluster of white headed pimples on the side of her tongue...No other symptoms.
Any ideas?

Thrush probably. That would hurt and it is white spots. She'll need mouth drops from the doc.

God sorry ! Didn't read link properly as was concentrating on pic.

As I understand it oral thrush is pretty common especially if she's had antibiotics lately of if she's othewise prone to fungal infections.

Anmyway, if that's it is is should be easy to sort out.

Hmmm, thats what we thought, but it was actual pimples not a white fuzzy plaque like they say.
I am sure it is most likely to be thrush though isn't it. She is almost 4 and curious of her girly bits at the moment ..Heigh ho, off to the Docs we go.

Turned out to be a cluster of mouth ulcers! Dr couldn't tell me how she got them but now she has bonjella and no reason not to go to school!

DS had that a while ago - turned out to be a virus.

Doc prescribed some horrible stuff to paint on his tongue which he refused to hae done. Doc also prescribed ice-cream - that went down well!

I've had cluster of mouth ulcers very recently and ds has them now. Really, really painful. At the height of it I was even talking in a funny way.

There seems to be a lot of it about at the moment.
