lisalisa - firstly I am so not a qualified homeopath yet - but I will quote you from the myriad textbooks I have.

secondly, homepathic remedies never work against the symptom of the disease, but help to strengthen your own body so it can get rid of them - but don't underestimate the power of your own body when it is properly stimulated by the correct remedy. But you need to get the remedy that matches as many of your symptoms (particularly emotional and mental ones) as possible - it's not like an exact science of this remedy cures this condition.

Ok.
Kent (v. v. important homepath) has \link {http://www.homeoint.org/books3/kentmm/cina.htm\this} to say about cina - if it sounds generally familiar you shoudl find that the worms clear up v. quickly.

Tyler says cina works particularly on people who have restless nights, grinding of teeth, dilated pupils, boring in nose and anal irritation. She also suggests a non homeopathic remedy - smear your anus liberally with Vaseline - you have to get right inside. Apparently worms come out to breed, and if you are well lubricated they can't get a hodl and so just fall out before reproducing. (Only on Mumsnet could I type something like that)

Any news on the OC? Or was the itching all down to the worms?

Completely - that's the whole point of homepathic remedies, they cure without causing any harm.

But - as you have many other sypmtoms as well as the worms, I would say that going to a qualfied homepath would be a v. good idea. To get a real cure from homeopathy rather than jsut a temporary palliative effect you need a remedy taht suits all the different things wrongs with you, and cina, to my eye, doesn't share many of teh underlying symptoms of my OC.
adrianna is really wonderful - and central london. She helped me with my OC and morning sickness, and sorted dd's constant colds almost overnight. And she's a very scientific homeopath - not at all into hippy-dippy quackery. I can tell you are quite sceptical about it - I always was as well - but what have you got to lose - it's not liek many conventional therapies are open to you right now!
