Help. DD has cough and blotchy rashes. What could it be?

She's been ill all day. I've done the rolling the glass test on the rashes (she's got 3, one on leg and 2 on arms) and I can't work out clearly what's supposed to happen - is it supposed to go white?

The rashes are red with blotchy white bits.

Yep the spots are supposed to blanch, if there not meningitis (SP?)

She's had calpol, but has never had this response before.

She's also been complaining about a belly-ache all day.

Poor DD. Has she eaten anything unusual today?

Thanks - just had the local nurse on and she's confirmed that it's probably viral. Phew.
