lump in pelvis, am freaking out!

I found a pea sized lump about two inches below one inch and one to right if ny belly button. My mum died of ovariancancer had no symptoms before the doc felt the mass hence my terror. Am also ttc and scared whatever it is may affect ny fertility.Would love stories of fibroids etc while I wait for appt with docs!

I often get swollen glands in that area when coming down with cold/virus. Try not to panic.

Get it checked out, but sounds like a lymph node - as Gaston says, very common if you are coming down with something/have had something. I've never heard of it being a symptom of OC, either - but totally understand your terror, given your Mum's story. I'm so sorry for your loss, and hope you get reassured asap.

i second it being a lymph node - hope you'll get some peace of mind from GP

Thanks ladies, got an appt in an hour. Feel a but calmer, lymph node would make sense I am recovering from a virus. Will let you know what doc says.

It's all fine doc reckons its a fatty deposit. She was lovely though v reassuring. Said I'd dine right thing coming in and told me not to hesitate to come in again :) thanks to all of you.
