Left nipple has been itchy for two days now. No sign of reddness or a rash, although the itchy area also include a small part of the breast too.
Has anone had any experience of this?

I am in my 40's and don't suffer from anything similar on a monthly basis.
Should I be concerned?

Probably dry skin, but if it carries on do see GP - have you tried creams? I have had occasional itchy nipple/breast and its just been hormonal - but its not constant, or ongoing.

Have you changed to bio washing powder recently?

alphabill · 14/02/2011 18:46

I get this from time to time its usually dry skin and often caused by the fabric in bra especially man made fibres.

Please see your GP- better safe than sorry. Anything odd such as itching, rashes, heat etc should be checked out.

Does taking an anti histamine make it go away?

NorthernGobshite · 14/02/2011 20:17

I occasionally get this, think bra related? I put a litle E45 on it and it goes away. But every time it happens I get worried! Have had tests etc as also had nipple discharge and nothing wrong.

I get this periodically. I mentioned i when I went to see doc about pain in breast too. She said it was due to exzema. However if you are worried get it looked at

cheekeymonkey · 15/02/2011 15:08

Should really get it checked out but my doc told me to switch to non-bio washing detergent and it worked. Always best to have any breast problems checked though, sooner the better.
